Fall Fashion: Southwest Splendour

Ladies, it’s time to break out your copies of On the Road and blast some Bob Dylan in your cars, because Americana is back in a big way this Fall. Flannel is making its millionth comeback, Navajo prints are everywhere and festival-worthy pieces are all over the racks. Here are some outfit ideas to really shake up your wardrobe this season.

A Navajo print dress with a leather jacket: This combination combines edgy and whimsical pieces in a wearable way. Also, it’s a great way to take your summer dresses into the fall season. So, if it’s really cold where you live, add some opaque tights. To amp up the drama, try some ankle boots or a maxi dress.

Printed leggings: An American flag or tribal print is cool and of the moment with an oversized fisherman’s sweater. This look is completely unexpected and perfect for running errands or making a trip to the city. Leggings are an unusual place to wear a print so visual interest is added, and the oversized sweater balances out proportions. A neutral pump keeps the look fun and feminine.

A flannel button down with a pair of high-waisted shorts: This look is all about layers that will keep you cozy and in style for fall. Wear the button down over a sheer blouse or under a shearling jacket. For accessories, go for opaque tights with a pair of oxfords.

All of these looks are sure to bring some irreverence and nostalgia to your fall!
