Manicure Madness: Shades for Fall

As we take the leap from our summer nudes and brights—to the more adventurous and deeper fall hues—it can be difficult deciding which shades to recommend to our manicurists. But, the good news is that there are so many new and unexpected shades trending this fall, meaning that you’ll never run out of ideas.

Here are some adorable, creative options.

Forest and Fatigue Green: Arguably the color of choice for fall runways and adventurous starlets. The shade goes with everything, and is the new black/navy/purple for this season. To get this look, check OPI for some great colors.

Denim: Chanel’s Blue Jeans Collection has been creating buzz all over the beauty world for its versatility. In choosing a manicure, who doesn’t want the dependability of blue jeans?

Basic Black and Grey: It’s pretty straightforward. You can never go wrong with these two shades. I encourage you to take a risk and do a French manicure with two contrasting colors within this family.

Covered in Crimson: Caution: wallflowers need not apply. The deep reds of this season are fit for only the most bold and brazen of vixens. Choose a deep burgundy for a cocktail party or evening event.

Unexpected Art: Feather nails, lace nails, cheetah nails—all of these ideas are spectacular for fall—with the trends going on this season (let’s call it the Middleton effect), you can afford to be more adventurous in your styling. Take a risk by trying an Aztec or peacock design.
