We all wish that we could wake up with a face that just screams perfection. Unfortunately, no one, not even Nicole Kidman or Julia Roberts can wake up looking like a knockout. But, luckily, they’ve found some pretty awesome ways to fake it. Want to know their secret? Here are the easy ways to amp up what you’ve already got… no caking on makeup necessary.
Take Care of Your Skin: Keep your skin moisturized, exfoliated, and protected from sunlight. Wash your face a few times a day with cold water, use tinted moisturizer to hide flaws while nourishing skin, go easy on foundation so as to not clog pores, and always wear sunscreen.
Accentuate Your Best Features: If you have a great smile, gloss your lips. If you have great eyes; wear some mascara, eyeliner, and taupe eye shadow. If you have amazing cheekbones, highlight and bronze. Just don’t go overboard during the day. Every now and then, we all want to try a cool, daring look, so pick just one part of the face to accentuate. Otherwise, go a little more natural so you don’t look overdone.
Maintain Your Hair: Deep condition every few weeks and don’t use too many heating products (if you do, use a protectant). To keep your natural hair under control, use an anti-frizz. If you need more volume, use a volumizing spray and velcro rollers instead of heated rollers and blow- driers. Curling irons and straighteners are fine in moderation!
Stay Healthy: You always feel better about yourself if you eat well and exercise often. To do this, eat lots of fruits, veggies, protein, and complex carbs for extra energy and balance.
