Those of us that love smoothies know that purchasing  smoothies on a daily basis can become expensive. A lot of girls love a healthy  smoothie after a workout or just as an in-between meal snack. Many ingredients can be put together to create a delicious smoothie, but what if you could get  great taste and even better benefits from your smoothie? You can get it all  with these delicious smoothie recipes to better your health and give you an extra boost of energy.

Being the busy girl that you are, there is always a need for  an extra boost of energy. This smoothie recipe is a quick and delicious way to  give you that energy.

Mango Tango

Eliminating toxins  and cleansing your body is important to your health. This smoothie will do just that. It is also filled  with vitamin C and potassium to give you the energy you need for hours.

Banana  Orange Strawberry Fruit Smoothie

  • 1/2 banana, sliced and frozen
  • 1/ 2 cup of orange juice
  • 6 strawberries, frozen
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1 tbsp skim milk powder
  • 1 tbsp protein powder
  • 1 tsp flax seed oil

This smoothie is  especially important due to the upcoming cold weather. Once cold weather hits everyone seems to get sick.

Citrus  Rush

  • 1/2 cup orange juice
  • 1/2 pink grapefruit, peeled and seeded
  • Juice of Ѕ lemon or 2 limes
  • 1 inch fresh ginger, skin scraped off
  • 1/2 cup nonfat yogurt
  • 2 tsp honey

Drink this up to get  extra energy and potassium for a sweat session at the gym or before a run.

Banana  Strawberry Power Smoothie

  • 1 cup non-fat milk
  • 1 cup strawberries
  • 1 frozen banana, sliced
  • 2 tbsp whey protein powder
  • 1 tbsp flaxseed oil
  • 1  tbsp lecithin granules

These are only a few  recipes, but you can blend your favorite fruit or vegetables, low-fat yogurt,  and a little bit of milk to create your own delicious smoothie. To help you  choose, there are a few ingredients that benefit your skin and hair.  Blueberries contain antioxidants that protect your skin and give you a glowing  complexion. Add a little kiwi to the mix to help keep skin firm, bones and  teeth strong, and protect you from cancer and heart disease. Cacao dark  chocolate powder mixed in with your fruit assists in keeping your skin hydrated.  Smoothies can be topped with nuts for an added delicious treat. Try adding  crushed walnuts, giving you nicer skin, hair and brighter eyes. Gorgeous hair,  nails and skin are only a sip away!
