When I get up in the morning, there’s rarely enough time to shower, let alone put precious minutes into coming up with a fantastic outfit every day. Since I can’t put the required amount of attention into dressing myself, patterns tend to emerge—a certain top is always worn with that scarf, those jeans always go with that pair of boots. After only a few weeks of this, it’s easy to start feeling like there’s nothing to wear, since I’m always wearing the same combinations. But it doesn’t have to be this way! Dig up a few key accessories that are probably lying around the room right now, and perfectly fresh outfits can be born without spending a dime.
This style is an effortless way to add a luxurious, textured effect to any outfit. Just take your favorite scarf, hang it around your neck, and belt it around the waist. Be sure to spread the scarf out to maximize the volumizing look.
2. Clip-on suspenders.
We’re already tucking all of our shirts in again, so why not pump the look up a little by adding suspenders? Grab a skinny, dark pair to wear in order to not go over the top with this trendy accessory.
3. Tights to layer over.
Everything that was sorrowfully packed away at the end of summer can now be released again! Tights, either plain or in a funky pattern, look lovely paired with denim shorts and boots.
