How-To: Embrace The Halloween Spirit

Although you might think your trick-or-treating days are in the past, it doesn’t mean you have to boycott Halloween altogether! For the young at heart or the horror buffs, have a good scream this weekend by embracing the Halloween spirit.

Cozy Fright Night: Nothing says ghosts and witches like a great scary movie. Get all your friends together and dedicate a night to guaranteed nightmares. Remember to have lots of blankets for hiding during the gory scenes, along with popcorn and tons of candy treats. If ABC Family’s 13 Nights of Halloween doesn’t give you the chills then check this list, which names 25 mega fright night flicks.

Spookfest Fun: If you’re a Blissful Belle that needs more action then check your campus and local area for Halloween activities. Whether it is creepy hayrides or haunted trails, make a night out of it! Who wouldn’t want to be chased through a cornfield with a chainsaw on Halloween? But if dressing up is what you miss most about trick-or-treating then head to a party in a chic, scary, or hilarious costume.  Making the outfit is half the fun, so get creative!

Pumpkin Mania: Pumpkins are a staple Halloween item and can be used in multiple ways. One way is to make a kitchen smell like fall deliciousness. Pumpkin treats can be muffins, bread, pancakes, and more! If baking is a challenge, carve a pumpkin. Channel your creative side and take some time to come up with an awesome design. Once you’re done, throw in a tea candle and place it outside for everyone to see.

There are different ways for every Blissful Belle to celebrate Halloween. Whether it is with your roommates, boyfriend, or best friends, plan a day of spookiness before the month is over!
