Winter can be seriously rough on a girl’s skin. You feel itchy all over, see red everywhere, not to mention the tight plastic-y feeling you get. Fortunately, we’ve compiled a list of ways for you Belles to avoid the unfortunate side-effects of the temperature drop.
Moisturize: Moisturizing your skin twice a day keeps it soft, glowing, and will get rid of that dryness and itchiness. Don’t skimp on it; remember to moisturize every single day for the treatment to work. Just incorporate it into your morning and bedtime rituals. You won’t be disappointed.
Pamper Yourself: Give yourself some much-needed facials either at home or at a spa. Facials will get rid of impurities as well as reinvigorate your skin with nutrients, plus your skin will look amazing. Use an exfoliator, a mask, and some awesome creams. Turn your bathroom into a steam room by putting your face over your sink and covering your head with a towel.
Buy New Products: Don’t assume that you can use your summer products in the winter and vice versa. In the summer, you can use products that are weaker and thinner, and you can use a lot less of them. In the winter, it’s better to use thicker, richer, creamier formulas and use them a few times a day.
Don’t Stop the Sunscreen: Always wear sunscreen because the sun shines all year and can damage your skin at any time. People are especially susceptible to cancers in the winter when they skimp on their screen.
Drink Lots of Water: Keeping yourself hydrated gives you a healthy glow. Just because you’re cold, don’t start switching your water bottle for coffee mugs. Carry around a big water bottle or just remember to drink your eight glasses a day.
