Be Happy, Feel Beautiful
Hollywood legend and sci-fi veteran Harrison Ford has been confirmed for the role of Colonel Hyrum Graff in the upcoming film adaptation of Orson Scott Card’s novel “Ender’s Game.” Ford joins “Hugo” star Asa Butterfield (Ender), “Little Miss Sunshine” star Abigail Breslin (Valentine) and Hailee Steinfield (Petra) of “True Grit” fame, Variety reported.
With these latest additions to the cast, anticipation for the film is mounting. “Ender’s Game” is a classic sci-fi story about Andrew “Ender” Wiggin, a schoolboy who ends up carrying the destiny of all mankind in the war against an alien species. Ender, along with other children, partakes in simulations and training games in a Battle School set inside a space station.
Meanwhile, back on Earth, his psychopathic brother Peter and beloved sister Valentine engage in political maneuvering through a number of scholarly essays, despite being children themselves.
The movie version, set to be released on March 15, 2013, will be directed by Gavin Hood (“X-Men Origins: Wolverine) from his own script, adapted from the novel. No trailers are out as of yet, so keep an eye out. And meanwhile, check out the fantastic novel!
